Ok Reno, have a request for you guys. The base shops set up halloween haunted houses for kids each year. This year my shop is VERY down on people and we are looking for some help this year. If you are intrested in helping out some kids and bringing your own PM me. Helpers if you wish your name can be put down for the ADULT party the next night at the base club. That party gets intresting.

thanks for the welcome! I get more anxious about getting one everytime I go to this forum. I hear ya about the used evos, it's the same for every used car. Whether it be a Honda or Mitsubishi, if it's been done the wrong way, you're just buying someone's headache. It's pretty hard finding one in norcal and especially here in reno that fits my criteria. I have a couple lined up. I met up with a guy on craigslist/reno but it's too modded and had a gutted interior which is a definite no for me. Another 03 for $19k w/45k but it's too pricey, I feel like I can get an 06 with that price. Now a local member pm'd me about this guy poncho and his 03, can you tell me about his evo? Seems like you all know each other haha. Or, poncho, if you're a member then send me a pm and let's talk there. Thanks. So far this forum has been great with info, articles, etc...great members as well
No prob! Yeah but hondas don't have 3000 dollar transfer cases or a rear diff for that matter.
And as previously stated Poncho's car does have a salvaged title for rear sheetmetal damage but is put together well and runs 11's on good gas.
coryey has that fast white hatch that ran 11.4 or something like that... the red one went low 12's high 11's... the red one raced pancho and the evo one night and was all hyoed for beating pancho

Thanks for everyone's help!! And thanks Murf for all the details. As I understand now, poncho is no longer putting his up for sale. So I'm still stuck evo-less, I'll be patiently waiting for the perfect one though haha. If you guys have any in mind then just shoot me a pm. Sorry if I seem like I'm not looking myself, but I am. I visit every possible site to find one for sale everyday.

Yeah I'm thinking about doing something along that line if something close doesn't come up soon. I really want one now haha. I'm guessing you flew there and drove it back? How was the long drive for the evo if you did?
Yup flew up and drove it back. It took me 15 hours to get to sac.. I would have driven to reno but it was snowing so bad in the mountain range separating reno and ca that they shut down every road. I'm not sure if you have really spent much time riding/driving an evo but it really is a comfortable car aslong as your not used to a luxury sedan. Ahah. It
would have been nice to have cruise control but it's not that bad. Besides that it was great.

Ran 11.3@123 with a 1.62 60 ft in Fallon so about 4-5 mph and 2 tenths.. but i do have more power potential now... about 20-30 whp so its not a straight comparison.
