just got a ticket while breaking in my engine. However the cop was cool. lowered the speed so I was in the 1-10 mph zone... Looks like its time to try the mail in the fine trick.

 

Welll I never talk to anyone on here. Just seen this thread that said Reno ( Nolimitimports) I do not talk on their much, mostly Honda's but locals which is koo.

Just never see any Evo's in Reno making any noise really, Except Simon when he had the 35r for a bit.

I think theres 1 or 2 evos on here who autocross and some us who go out to RFR for road course.Theres a couple us who go out from time to time to Fallon and Sac. to drag race. Theres also a annual hillclimb the Virginia city hill climb check out Spectre 341 challenge for more of a new hillclimb competition thats at the end of June.

 

I hit the autox, and the road course. Not the drag strip though. Too boring for me. Aha

What's going on fellas? My name is Ralph, I'm new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. As you can see, I don't currently have a lan evo but that's one of the reasons why I joined, to learn and research a little bit before getting one. I just recently got into the market for an evo because I think it's just about time for an upgrade. I currently have a 99 integra and it does the job for a DD but I'm a student at UNR and I just want a 4dr, awd car and what better option than an evo? My other option is an s4 but euros are not in par with reliability compared to Japanese cars IMO. If you guys know anyone in town that's trying to sell one please let me know. Mainly looking between 03-05, my budget is around 15k, mileage below 80k (not too important as long as its still in good condition). I know that it's possible as I've been searching for one in that criteria and see them all the time, but they're all in the east coast and socal. Anyways, I'm excited to get behind the wheel of one of the best production 4dr car that ever came from japan. Just waiting to find the perfect one...

 

FYI i could still do side job once in a while if its worth it since that is the name of the game right now< now i could really compete with those people who doesent have a shop let see.

 

Welcome Ralph! Good choice on ur next car, thats exactly how to look for a used evo low miles no mods and babied...I've seen my share of barely drivable 2nd hand evo's that sometimes can't be fixed w/out spending half the value more to fix it.

Ha that was 2 evo's ago...the last 1 he had was the red 1 which was the fastest yet but that 1's gone. lol I hear he's looking for #4 now.

 

thanks for the welcome! I get more anxious about getting one everytime I go to this forum. I hear ya about the used evos, it's the same for every used car. Whether it be a Honda or Mitsubishi, if it's been done the wrong way, you're just buying someone's headache. It's pretty hard finding one in norcal and especially here in reno that fits my criteria. I have a couple lined up. I met up with a guy on craigslist/reno but it's too modded and had a gutted interior which is a definite no for me. Another 03 for $19k w/45k but it's too pricey, I feel like I can get an 06 with that price. Now a local member pm'd me about this guy poncho and his 03, can you tell me about his evo? Seems like you all know each other haha. Or, poncho, if you're a member then send me a pm and let's talk there. Thanks. So far this forum has been great with info, articles, etc...great members as well

 

Ponchos a great guy. His Evo's really nice, but it was a totalled car that he personally rebuilt. His work is top notch. He also has a 05 turbo mustang GT that he did the same with as well as his wifes Lexus.
