Spotted a EB down demonte prkwy yesterday without the front bumper.Looks like they were doing a tune.Anyone from here?

they were just checking the current tune to make sure it wasn't knocking.

 

Ya that was me. I just wanted to make sure all my clamps were going to stay on before i put that bumper back on.

side note.... the wierdest thing happended this morning. I put some foot into my car earlier and coolant shot out everywhere. After taking a look around i noticed the plastic top part of radiator seperated from the aluminum part. Has anyone seen this happen out of the blue? anyone have a stock radiator in reno?

 

Yes I have seen that before. Its plastic heat makes it weak, that and its bonded to alum. Get an upgraded rad. be done with that.

 

yeah I think Chris had that happen to him as well as just recently bursting the stock TB coolant line.

 

I was hoping to go to fallon but my radiator is not going to be here until saturday afternoon! I am not sure the weather is going to hold out anyways.

 

ya me either, i had a strange clutch issue so i dont feel like taking it out to finish it off lol

 

Cory ran an 11.7 at 116 very first run. Alex ran an 11.8 at 11.6 after a string of 12.0s and 12.1s.

good times Cory! Looks like the track was prepped well despite being a pretty bad day. Also looks like Reno Fernely racetrack is open, test and tune next weekend!

 

are you going to make the T&T a warm up for the 341 challenge J? Or have you changed your mind and going to pass on it?

 

Thanks guys. I am actually a little irritated with myself... I went out on stock sparks plugs and on the 1st run they were blowing out through 4th and 5th gear... So I turned the boost down from 26 to 23... ran it a few more with the upped timing and it would still blow out but hit 11.8 and 2 11.9. So I went back to my pump gas map. I was running 12.0-12.1 at 116 so I know my race gas has A LOT more in it!

Also Track was decent in the beginning but got worse. If Alex would have done what he did at first he would have hit the 11 easier! Just had to teach him not to shift into 5th LOL...
