E85 will clean your motor out. For way less than you would spend pulling the head and getting it ported, you could pick up some cheap used 1000cc injectors and switch to e85. There are many things that can free up power for less. Sending out your manifolds/tb to be ported would be cheaper alternative as well.

My exhaust mani is already ported. And cleaning it up would be cool, but I'm more interested in the casting imperfections in the head and IM. I've done mild porting/polishing on some 350 chevy heads before, but that didn't include gasket matching. I know a shop would do a better job than me, but I can do it for (nearly) free and get some practice in.

We just moved our training school there to train our young Marines. The Air Force has awesome C-130 trainers that we are sharing.

Around 780 bucks or so. Yea, they are up on Gibson. Alan had his headwork done there too, that's where I heard about em.

There are numerous photos floating around this board showing just how well the factory casting of the head is in regards to flow. The intake manifold/tb porting will make a big difference in response and throughout the powerband you will see gains. I'm not gonna stop you if you wanna pull your head and gasket match it yourself.

Do you guys ever think about getting rid of your evo and just getting out of the game? It crosses my mind sometimes.

nah, there's no GAME for me. Cars are more of a passion,Ive always had a fun/turbo car since i was old enough to drive. I bought these cars because they make me happy,i enjoy driving them,I think of getting rid of the evo all the time(for a zo6,GTR,m3)...I didn't get in the ''Game'' to be cool, impress girls or as a status symbol.(im not implying anything)
