eric nice to see you in the mid teens for trap speed on the stock turbo. Now time to get a clutch and get that et down. Should be good for a 12 flat or even a high 11 with that mph...

A new year calls for a new clutch. I hope things work out for me with exedy. Whatever happens with that I will be getting an HD twin disc.

I think I can get a little bit more out of the stock turbo. I need to retune, because my current tune was with the stock fmic and uicp. Also, the mivec maps haven't been touched.

 

Eric, who do u go with for tuning? Doug or insanespeed? I'm gonna buy an (grimspeed 3 port) and also Cobb bov. With those, I'm stepping into my stage 2.

My stage 2 will consist of the following:
Gsc s2 with upgraded valve springs and retainers (don't know which one yet)
Clutch (still researching which one to go with)
Master cylinder (see above parentheses)
Brake lines, pads, rotors
Ebcs
Cobb or synapse dv (waiting to see how the dv treats Reggie)
Rota rims...I'm on a budget.
And some other parts I fail to think about as of right now.

Stage 3 will consist of a new turbo and sleeved block, maybe a stroker? Who knows. I'm actually happy where it is right now, but tomorrow is a different day and I might change my mind.

You know all you guys talking about tunning should get your parts in order and im sure we can set something up with English Racing to come back out here sometime early next year.

 

Speaking of, how is everyone's tunes going from them? I remember some folks had a few minor issues out the gates..

I couldnt have been any more satisfied with my tune . in a month or two i will have my trans in and a ported intake. I wouldnt mind a litle retune when im ready. I could think of at least 2 evos besides myself that would in favor of an ER tune.

 

I was rich on the Cobb OTS stage 2 but with the fmic and licp, it actually leaned it a bit.

 

I have already spoken with Aaron about coming back out here. 7 cars and they are good to fly down. I know of 3 already.

 

so im pretty stuck on which transmission to buy, for a 5 speed 03' evo 8, shep, jacks, or bushwacker? anyone have any thoughts?
