I just impulsively bought a turbo, now im thinking it might be too big and laggy :/

You'll love the FP black! That turbo spools very fast and pulls hard!! Did you get a new ball bearing one?

GET A BIG *** TURBO!

 

5th gear pulls on my ported/coated fp black (2.3 / fp4r cams / non-mivec) makes 32lbs by 3700 rpm! Holds 30 psi till 7000 and tapers to 27 by 8000.... very fun turbo indeed! My HTA green was only 200 rpm quicker but tapered like a sunuva*****.

 

well, the 2.3 is push a lot of air. I would bet it would taper pretty hard

Soeuro, if I have the extra funds, I would definitely take that away from u....but as of right now, priorities comes first. Try it on for a size and just see how it does on ur engine, if it's leagy, then buy cams, if it's still laggy, sell it and get the fp green. But I'm sure, once u see the power it makes, u will get attached (literally and metaphorically) to it.

yeah, ill try it on,but I have to buy that stupid $250 FP oil line. Its such a rip off!!!! BTW, my car has CAMS and most of the bolt ons,besides manifolds and throttle bodies. I went high 11s with a decent trap speed on the stock turbo, Im hoping for low 11s with the Black.....if I keep it

 

Low 11's should be cake. With my crappy driving, and launching, I still trapped 126. That's well into 10 second territory with a better driver behind the wheel.

 

did i hear somone ask for me? Is your car put together? maybe you can try for that 10 sec pass when terrible and jesus go to MM on the 27th.
