Ya I hear you there. I just transfered to the early shift at my work wo I can do school in the afternoon. I'm 6am - 1pm now. I hate getting up before 6 but work is done and out of the way at least.

Hey Utah peps, i'm currently in Orem taking a training class for my job. I have a ralliart back in canada. I'm wondering if anyone of you guys could take me on the canyon road today (friday afternoon, evening). I was unable to rent a vehicule as my trip was annonced on very short notice. In my class people keep telling me that i have to go down the canyon road. Of course, i would compensate you, i'm even willing to pay for a tank of gas and lunch for anyone who could show me the scenery around here. I know this is kinda of last minute but feel free to shoot me a pm.

 

Shooting for PA. But we'll see, one step at a time. I may be smart. But I'm super lazy... Once I get in to Nursing school then I'll start worrying about it.

And that is exactly the reason that is what I am going for. Whenever I got to my standard doctor I always ask to see the PA. So much more respect and kindness and willingness to help. I had a sinus infection/cough 1 week before going to Vegas. Went in to see her 2 days before we left. She hooked me up with

A) Antibiotics that
1) wouldn't interact negatively with Alcohol
2) were one of those packs that you finish in 5 days, instead of the normal 10-14 days
B) Cough syrup in case I had a hard time sleeping that also would not interact negatively with any alcohol, though she recommended I only use it if I had a cough bad enough I couldn't go to sleep
C) A rescue inhaler in case I started coughing really badly while out partying.

Would my doctor have done that? Probably not. He gave me a lecture when I went in for my first physical after turning 18 about how having sex before marriage is bad. Note: 30 min lecture. He probably would have told me not to drink because it is bad for you. Do you honestly think I don't know that? Keep a patient healthy and happy within his own desires, that should be your job, not to push your own beliefs or thoughts about treatment onto an intelligent person who can think and act for themselves. His poor service is what made me decide I wanted to go in to medicine, because I'm tired of bull**** doctors who treat patients like objects.

Seriously, she spent like 15 minutes just researching the cough syrup and antibiotics and their effects with alcohol just to be 100% certain.

Long story, but I decided to share.

Where will you be taking your nursing course?

I will have my associates done in the summer yay. Then I'm heading over to Stevens henager to get my bachelors and finally be a RN. 3 more years of school then I'm free. Until I go back for my NP.

Provo canyon, then the alpine scenic highway.

 

Planning on Weber or SLCC more than likely. But really wherever I can get in to first (that isn't going to cost me my soul... aka Eagle Gate). I have to finish what few prereqs I have left and then apply. I'll probably be applying when applications open up for all the schools next year. I should be able to finish what classes I need this coming Spring-Summer-Fall semesters.

Hopefully already having a Bachelors will accelerate the process somewhere... If not... at the very least having some of the required classes already done will help with this part.
