Third time hopefully the charm This will be the third time I've done extensive upgrades to my evo. A little history along the way. Some mods were made along the way.
1st time:
hks racing intake
manual boost controller
hks 272I/264E cams
greddy fmic/licp
turbo xs downpipe/test pipe
hks hi pwr catback
720 inj
utec (omg, dont start)
340hp/315tq @23psi

2nd time:
fp wr turbo
meth inj
dual boost controller
400hp/365tq @28psi
motor blew (meth?)
2.3l stoker
365hp/340tq @ 18psi

here is where I started to do things right however I havent been truely retuned
got rid of utec and went back to ecu
br racing fmic/u/licp
ported exhaust mani
small battery kit

what you've been waiting for. Car is at BR getting the following work
cbrd bbk full turbo
megean 02 housing
Ported Intake manifold
BR 65mm Throttle Body
HKS 280 cams
1000cc Injectors
BR Double Pumper (if needed)
Ecu Flash for 91(better to start low since all I have in hawaii is 92)

I'm hoping to run about 26-28 psi on 92 in hawaii. I'm not looking for peak numbers, just smooth usable power. Everyone I've talked to was very pleased with the turbo, but they had a 2.0...I'm coming with 2.3. I think fun to drive will be an understatement!!

Damn, so you shipped your car from Hawaii all the way to buschur?

Goodluck on the next build sounds like it's going to be a fun street car

IIRC he is having Buschur ship it back to Hawaii and had it brought there while he was still in the mainland. Either way I am looking forward to seeing the beast in person.

I left it at my mom's on the mainland when I moved out here. Let the wife talk me into shipping her car out here instead. Yea, its up at BR right now, afterwards they'll ship it to the island for the first time.
Before anyone really sees it, she has to have a good bath and TLC!! No one takes care of our cars better than us...it was at my mom's for over 1 1/2 yrs...she needs some TLC.
I definitely cant wait to get it here. The turbo seems to be between the fp green/red (faster spool than green, not as high pk # as the red). however, with the stroker, theres a big wide power band to enjoy all of H3, lol

Looks like the time line will put it about the time you get back here in January.

So the customer is living in hawaii, but leaves his car on the mainland. I'd be going crazy. I'm hoping to get to know all the evo owners here in hawaii. I"ll have to look up those mods and see what they are for my own knowledge.

Side note: talked to Nick and he said that he's going to be calling you about the turbo. Hopefully, you've already talked to him.

Are you having the military ship it? If not, pm me, I have a good contact number for an autotransport that has been good to me. Where are you going to be stationed at in hawaii?

I thought mine being year and a half was bad...(bow down) I'm not worthy

I'm hoping for christmas. I want to think that BR will be starting on the car next week. The turbo should be there. I may call tomorrow (if they're open) and see if it did. It would be perfect to get it during my christmas standdown so that I have time to do logs at night, email to mellon and have a reply during the day to go and check out the tune. Also, I can get all the registration/safety inspections done w/o having to take off from work.
