New Sactown shop-Autotechnica

Just wanted to let everybody know that the prayers of us here in Sac have been answered and there is finally a trustworthy knowledgeable shop in town. Autotechnica at 9th and T St. downtown. Everybody there was super cool and down to earth.

I had my new Carbonetic Pro Blade clutch installed there and Rob did a fantastic job. He was working on my car when I left at 1030pm on his birthday of all things. His wife (I assume) even offered me some of the birthday cake they were having not knowing my birthday was two days later. Their waiting room is quaint but stylish and a flat screen with Top Gear on tap!!

If you are ever in need of a place you can trust to work on your Evo look no further.
Thanks again Rob, Jared, and the rest of the crew!!

Well. Let's put it this way. Mine was not an ordinary install. Odd ball clutch with a full clutch cable and the pull to push conversion.

I went by this morning and talked with Rob for a bit. He wanted me to try a different fluid in the transfer case and I wanted him to look at the new FBM throttle body I got to see if he had any ideas for modifying the flange on the intake manifold. He threw the car up on the lift and had the fluid changed in 15 minutes so I could make it to work on time. Again I am very happy about the void they are filling in the Sacramento area.

Eneos 75w-90. Rob described Eneos as being a company that makes OEM fluids for many manufacturers and then they are relabeled. Eneos is much cheaper than the Diaqueen. I bought my last Diaqueen for $80 a gallon. Dealer in Roseville wanted over $100 for the same thing. Not cheap.

Nice. I've always felt bad for Sac people having to come down to the Bay Area for quality Evo service. They seem cool on EvoEmpire.org and they sure seem to like swaping 4G63's into interesting cars....

Ya Rob is putting a 2.4 4G63 in an older Montero right now. Should be pretty crazy.

Just wanted to bump Autotechnica awesomeness. If you are needing work done and want a reputable shop then call these guys. If you are in doubt just head down and talk with them. They are all very cool and super down to earth. My clutch is performing flawlessly. No high rpm lockout and you know that usually happens when a clutch is not properly installed. Autotechnica FTW!
