That's why all these ECU flahes are getting popular. Mitshubishi leaves so much HP on the table from extremely conservative timing tables, and these flashes are fixing that. I can't go with a flash because the tuning is static on a flash. With a flash, the timing is set up for pump gas, and you won't be able to fully capitalize on race gas. It would be better than a stock ECU, but still not adaptable like a stand-alone system. I'll be going to an AEM stand-alone for this.
I'll be selling my AFCII with spare ECU patch harness for $350. One can go and buy a new AFC for $350 no problem, but I'm including a $140 harness and it will come all wired up for true plug and play operation for the buyer, and no shipping for a local sale. Let me know if any of you guys are interested.

Picked up my Evo yesterday from Hawaii Mitsu - as we would say in Brooklyn, the car is "freakin unbullievable!". What have you guys done for an alarm in the car? What model and dealer did you use, or did you install on your own?
Also, FYI... the car came with a 5 year bumber to bumper warrantee, 3 years free service. I think this is a new promotion that Mitsu is doing.

nice choice. you dont really miss the options in this car. in fact, i think it would be weird to have options. you just get in and enjoy the drive.
they are overpriced here though and i must say if you buy one here then you gotta really love the car. i say that because i bought one here too.

Welcome,
Also in Hawaii there is less than 40 Evo, you won't see that car everywhere! Not like 350Z, G35, STI, and Rx8
(oops there is a Ex Z here
)
You made a great choice by taking home a Evo!

Believe it or not I've only seen one evo ever driving here on the streets of Oahu. I first took it for a test drive last labor day and since then I've only seen one evo. Also, it may be that the local Mitsu dealer is more willing to deal now because I purchased the car close to MSRP, and that was for the 2004. I think they have a few 2003's left too. Also, I found them very easy to deal with.
Any thoughts on an alarm system?

yeah, i got a decent price and a decent amount on the trade. However, when i read that people on the forum paid less than 30K on the mainland it kind of reminds me hawaii isnt the best place to purchase a new vehicle.
as far as the alarm, i worked a deal for that and window tint with the dealership. so my alarm is NOT the best to say the least. it just serves the purpose, a deterrent. I do know that alpine and clifford are some of the best brands out there though.

Yes, but I had my french license
.
I was waiting to pass it for install some mod, didn't want to take a test with all those stuff
. Already the instructor when seating in the car said "it's not every time I seat in a nice sport car, I will have a look on your gauge! so watch out!) and by mistake I went 3 mph over
! well 5 points
. But it was a cool instructor
For the alarm, I like the one roberto and lilgsx have, I think it's a clifford. May be want to install one too.
