Buyer BEWARE on the 2005MR at Toyota Bountiful UT
Buyer beware there is a 2005 EVO 8 mr at toyota bountiful in Utah. this car has a odometer roll back that they wont tell you until you pull a carfax or after you look over the car, (the rollback is not mentioned on autotrader or their website) and the sales associate Robert Terry is extremely shady, he gave me three different stories, 1st he tried to say that it was because they bought the car as a rolling shell and the engine was replaced, then 2nd he told me it was a mistake on carfax's part 3rd then he told me that the entire dash was replaced and some wires must have been crossed to cause a short. They had it listed for 17,900$ now it just shot up to 22,182$ no idea why. My experience was very shady and bad vibes were all over the place and I think that they know somethings fishy with the car and they're doing what ever they can to dump it. He told me it has been on the lot for 84 days and that they try to keep to a 60 day policy so something is very off about this car.

I friggin hate how dealers are so sketch... before i purchased my baby and when i was in the market, i visited a lot of dealers that were so sketch about the evos it was disgusting. Then i finally paid the extra 2-4k so i could purchase it from a semi reputable place, South Coast Mitsu. It was worth it for the extra money.

I know I have been hunting for the last 5 months and so far I have had one dealer sell a car that i had a deposit on while i was on a flight down to get it, then another sold one cheaper to another kid when I was standing right next to the kid, now this guy trying to lie over and over even though another sales person told me the real story its ridiculous. I wish i had that extra 2-4k to spend and i would head down to south coast cause i hear great reviews from them but all i have to spend is 15k and if necessary 16k max :/

I've test driven that thing for a friend who was looking at it. It is super shady, does not drive well, and needs north of $10,000 to fix. Many problems with the engine, the throttle is not smooth, many of the parts were swapped for GSR parts, the dash is most likely from a regular lancer, wires hanging into the cabin ... the list goes on.
My friend offered them about $4k so he could have a winter rebuild project, they never called back.
