***Official HI Chat Thread*** (take 3)
I am moving to the San Jose area next month.
Im having a hard time deciding whether or not to bring my evo due to the Smog check. It will be registered as a Florida Vehicle for the atleast a year maybe 2. However, I am currently running a full invidia catless exhaust.
Should i invest in a new Cat-Back and downpipe now or risk driving around? This is all if i bring my car. Transport is covered.

IIRC, law requires you to register your car and obtain a CA license within 90 days of moving. While you might be safe with Florida tags, if you get a ticket, and they find out you've been here longer, you might get a double ticket. What's done to the car? Any chance it would pass with a good cat?

I may try to acquire a full stock exhaust and try to get rid of it anyways. Seems like the best plan.
Oh yeah. Car is already here.
Wow I thought this thread died lol
As of right now, SCCA is the only legal form of motorsport here on Oahu. If you want to do drags, you will need to go to a different island. As for tuners, we have none. You have to wait for a tuner to come down from the mainland.

You can tune it on a dyno here. We only have one AWD dyno in the state and the shop monopolizes on it so be aware. As for tuning your car and then bringing it down here, I have no idea why you would want to do that.
This is pinned to the 808Evo FB page, thought I'd add it here just in case
