We've kept Rob on a pretty tight leash, so the atmosphere has remained pleasant ha

EVO X Seats

Anyone have lightweight seats in their EVO X? I was going with Sparco EVO II but read all the fitment issues. Been asking around but seems like not too many have changed out their seats. Looking at fixed back but with sliders. Just thought I check locally. Thanks.

No locals do that I know of. Most standard fixed seats will fit, but the XL versions are iffy because of the shoulder bolster width. The only reason I haven't switched seats yet is because of the airbag lights and I'm just too lazy to either build resistors or pull all the bulbs

Another thing to think of would be the weight sensor on the passenger side. I've heard people would just bolt seats into the stock rails so you wouldn't need to remove the weight sensor at all.

The weight sensor activates the passenger airbag and light... Doesn't do anything truly "special". Attaching any seat to the rail will make the said seat sit high and look retarded IMO

I'll be pulling the stock rails for sure. But yes, not trying to get high up, prefer to be as low as possible. Challenge is that the fixed backs require side mounts and if you want sliders (needed for co-driver), you have to mount them on which raises them a bit. Reclining seats can bolt direct to sliders so you don't have the extra height issue but then you are adding weight again and probably not much lighter than stock. I wish I wasn't so fat! And I defeated the airbag light on my Subaru with cheap resistors from Radio shack. Hopefully its the same on the EVO.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll keep looking.
