Mechanical HELP

I have an 08 evo X the other day on the 12th to be exact I was stopped at a light in first gear clutch all the way Down waiting for the light to turn green ... Next thing the car jerks then turns off as if I was to stall but I didn't stall .... With the clutch still down I turn the car back on then take it out of first and when I take my foot off the clutch the pedal stays down .... I push the car to the side of the street pick the clutch pedal up with my hand then push it back down .... There was no resistance it just goes to the floor and stays there ...... Anyone have any ideas why ? I haven't had the chance to look at it since it was my bday on the 13th and I've been outa town ..... It's sad I miss driving my car .... Any advise will be a great help

You slave cylinder took a dump. Its down off the trans, follow the clutch line--or if you have a X then it could be a broken MC..

Oh, if it's an X the clutch master cylinder probably reached it's expiration date. They're plastic! Is your car still under warranty? There's a few shops that sell a metal EVO 8/9 CMC conversion.
