South Coast Mitsubishi Gone?

I was driving down Harbor Blvd and was expecting to see a nice lot of shiny new cars but to my surprise I see a barren concrete monument bearing a for lease sign. I was so shocked and lurked through forums to try and find an answer and all I could come up with is the NBC News and Automotive News articles. Am I missing something or is there news that is to be announced?
