That little worm bolt thing is such a pain without the right tools. Thankfully when Subaru copied Mitsu on the idea, they put a bolt on the worm gear, so all you need is a ratchet. I think I may wind up finally raising them tonight... Maybe.

I'm sure I'll be in touch, someone who can do the stripping and powdercoating all at the same place and deals with car stuff usually (rather than commercial stuff) will be nice. A lotta things gotta fall into place and happen first, since I can't have downtime on my car (unless you're willing to coat them from like Friday afternoon and have them ready on a Saturday/Sunday evening before the week starts again) I've got my eye out for cheap wheels to use for the winter, and when I find those and have the money for em, I could mount my tires on them temporarily while I get the summer wheels coated.

Speaking of powdercoating, Dallin: that kid text me last night and was talking to me about trading wheels, and by the end of the conversation it was back to him trying to get me to get my wheels powdercoated black, and give them to him for his gold ones... His reasoning behind why it made sense: OEM Gold is the best. My question: Why don't you just keep em then, and I'll just powdercoat mine the exact color that I want.

Kids are getting dumber and dumber these days....

 

That is something that is always in the back of my mind, especially after getting cheated on the last deployment. But on the flipside, if I can't find someone that is willing to wait for me while I deploy, then I am going to stay a bachelor for the next 17 years cuz my *** is gonna be in the desert part of every year until either I retired or this war is over...so most likely till I retire. Atleast. I'm not gone for 2 years at a time, though

How long are you going to be over there at a time this time around? This problem is why I never even thought about joining any type of military group, being away from home for more than 1 month out of every year would bother me. Especially being away from home somewhere like the desert. At least as a businessman if you go on long trips away from home you're staying in a nice hotel.

 

Ill be gone till feb/march if everything goes as anticipated. I am away from home all but maybe 2 weeks a year..atleast meaning home as where my family is. It is unusual that I have been back in utah for 11 months this time around. I could have left 5 months ago if I wasn't having surgery. And. If I didn't have a gf that I wanted to be with, I would have went to Iraq the beginning of june for around 15 months. And just imagine that your going out camping in big *** tents and peoe around you are playing with firecrackers and m80s lol :P. Ill be in the mountains this time around though and I won't get the priveledge of missing out on winter either.

 

Camping is fun for a weekend, but eventually you wanna sit down, watch cable, and crank on the AC.
