How do grammar/spelling skills correlate to driver ability?

Parents should hand over the keys to a $60k car because most kids can't drive for ****.

Shouldn't... you mean... The chaos continues...

Anyway, I actually agree... A 30k car, that's AWD and 4 doors... Okay... A 40k+ car that who knows how well it will do in the snow w/ 2 seats and minimal storage space? Bad idea... I had the s2k as my first car and even I say that was a bad idea, 25k isn't as bad as 63k but same sort of problems.

And to continue what you said: ALL new 16 year olds can't drive for **** unless they've been doing karts, and even then, driving a car is at least 50% different. Even I admit the day I turned 16 and got my license I wasn't the best of driver... Shortly thereafter I did an auto-x and got hooked since then. Buy a beater Civic, let your kid Auto-x/Track/borrow(for important occasions) your car until they turn 18, then buy them an Exige S if you have the money to do so... Then they still have the Civic to drive in the winter if they're still in a winter climate, or they go to school out of state and are all the better for it, sell their Civic or use it for the next child.

totally agreed jake

but seriousely when you think about it, the evo really is good bang for the buck for a winter climate, awd, 4 doors (not that it matters with me, i dont have back seats ) not extremely expensive, and gets fairly good gas mileage

Nope, drove an '87 Mazda B2000 pickup in high school, that i bought myself for $2k.

Just saying, don't hate because a parent wanted to provide something nice for their kid. I probably will not spend that much on my kids first car, but some do, so what?

I had a 86 BMW 635CSI that I got when I turned 16. It lasted for half a year then took a dump at 325K miles. I walked to school or road a bike or bummed rides off of friends till I bought a car when I was done with High school. Didn't have a running car for a wile. Have always had projects. I should just get a good dependable car with a warranty like a White Evo 9 haha.

Except for the whole sitting in that garage part...

Tell him HE can sit in the garage, and I'll take even just the Ford out to the track while he sits there He can even have my car to look at in its place.

lol, he said that he bought the ford for a daily driver because it was so cheap and as a car to go do donuts in... i cant talk him into going out and tracking any of the cars because it decreases the values too much

How does it decrease the value? Is he morally obligated to tell people they've been tracked? No one who looked at my car besides people I know personally knew my car had been tracked.
