Loose shifter

I was changing the all the shifter bushings and I noticed that the shifter where it sits has play. Would your shifter fix this problem? My car still shifts the same with the new metal bushings.

Can you be a little more specific about where the play is?

The main ball that sits in the plastic stand, the main pivot point. It has some play in it but I don't know if it is normal. Like if the ball should be a bit bigger to get rid of the play. It's still notchy and sometimes I have trouble putting it in gear.

Well the WORKS shifter fits just like stock, so if your stock shifter has play in that area the WORKS shifter would probably be the same.

However you may want to check to see if the two ball bearings that the shifter ball rides on are still in there.

Good luck!
