axleback exhaust for MR

Have a 2005 Evo MR and want to add your axleback muffler and keep the rest of the exhaust stock including the stock intermediate pipe. Would that axleback bolt directly to the stock factory intermediate pipe? What is the HP gain if I just installed the muffler and kept the rest of the exhaust stock including the intermediate pipe? I imagine if I kept the stock intermediate pipe with the resonators that it would not be too loud as I do not want a loud exhaust. Do you have any in stock right now? Have you dynoed a stock MR with just your axleback installed to see what the HP gains may be?

The axle back mates perfectly to the stock IP pipe. All WORKS exhaust parts are interchangeable with their stock counterparts, which is a big benefit IMHO.

As mentioned, all of our Exhale exhaust components are completely modular. You can replace one piece at a time if you prefer and not have to worry about fitment, etc... The ABM is one of the quieter exhausts available and has a deeper tone to it without being boomy. We see gains of about 10HP with the ABM over the stock muffler. They're in stock and ready to go. Feel free to give us a call or order online at your convenience: http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...roducts_id=188

I saw the ABM up close when I was out at Works shop last weekend, very nice lookin' piece. Another Works cusotmer had one installed on his MR with the TR.340 (Cams, etc) package; at idle it sounded really good and when he drove off, even better!

Kudos all the works guys. I installed my axleback muffler today on my otherwise stock MR. That muffler is definitely well made and detailed. Definitely, high flow with no restriction as I can see straight through the muffler from the exhaust tip to the 90 degree bend in the rear pipe. Sound is not too loud. Like it a lot. A little deeper than stock but not loud. Fit was perfect except for the rubber exhaust hanger in the rear tire well which was a ***** to get off. Car seems to spool a little faster. Remember my MR is totally stock so I opted for the axleback only instead of a catback since I believe other than the downpipe and cat that is the next most restrictive part of the exhaust on the MR. Well made product. Definitely worth the price if you are not going to go to a full turboback. Money well spent. Considering springs next.

Doh! Now someone mentions it. I really enjoyed the frustrating experience of yanking that hanger while having crap from the stock muffler fall in my face
