Mitsubishi was very smart in designing a filter that could fit so many applications.
Initial impressions.... So I don't have any hard dyno numbers to proof this but I received my Works filter a couple of days ago and the butt dyno says more power. I was running a K&N panel filter and decided to swap in the much awaited Works filter to see if I can feel a difference. With the Works filter the car seems to pull harder; in that past for some reason my Evo seemed like it was laggier than normal in building 20psi but with the Works filter installed the needle on the boost gauge runs like it stole something! BTW, the K&N was just "recharged" on Friday and it behaved like this since I bought it new, so I can't really say that it was because the K&N was dirty... Oh yeah, another thing that came to my attention is that the Works filter was not soaked with oil like the K&N was when I pulled it out the box! Those that own a K&N panel filter know what I'm talking about. More good Works stuff.

Compjoc, I don't think a reflash is required for the Works Air Filter; I did not reflash and all is good with my Evo. In majority of cases a reflash or some level of tuning is only required when you make changes to the stock airbox box (replace w/ a cone filter, etc) and/or intake piping but not necessarily if you change the element used in the stock air box...
