P2 vs P2E - Differences

What are the real differences between these two offerings (P2 - P2E)? By reading the details on the website, it seems they are the same. HP expectations are the same and custom tuning is available for both. Maybe I'm just missing something. Can someone please fill me in. Thanks

Whats the P2E? Are you talking about the P2R?

Nope. Their website lists a P1E and P2E along with the P1, P2 and P2R. So I guess there is also a P2ER. From the WORKS store click on engine and they are listed almost at the bottom of the first page. $649.00 for the P1E and $749.00 for the P2E.

Yes it states that in the info provided on the site, but it doesnt tell what the difference is in order to warrant the price increase. Do you get teh ECUTeck display with this purchase, or is it just a flash using some other parameters.

The increased prices might be due to the licensing fees that ECUTek charges vendors that use their software.

It's the same tool, just a different brand. There's interest in the EcuTek software based on its background and just thought we'd offer it as an option. We've had it since early this year and have used it in-house and thought we would share with those that specifically wanted it.

Are there any advantages of the ECUTek flash over the "regular" flash?

It has a prettier interface for the tuner.

From the consumer standpoint, there is no difference between the WORKS flash and the WORKS/EcuTek flash.

WORKS will have a flash for the IX and we don't see any reason the MIVEC will be an obstacle. In fact, it should be quite advantageous

Thanks

Let the madness begin.

Am placing first order now, 70mm downpipe and brake lines. Then dyno and after the dyno install downpipe brakelines and then order the P2 and stealth muffler.

Jamie,

You've made my day . I have a nice big shopping list of Works' parts I'd like to fit to my IX (and the Brain flash is obviously one of them).
