AB exhaust vs AB muffler...

Is there any performance difference between the Works AB exhaust vs the Works AB muffler? (except a little weight?)

I have the WORKS axle back muffler.
I would think the muffler version would be quieter than the axle back exhaust.

Very slightly less peak power gains and slightly slower spool than with the AB...

But about 1/3 the sound, it's worth it in my opinion.

Don't forget the weight. Of course, this weight is not terrible because it's at the back and down low. I've had the AB for about 1 yr now and I love it but I didn't drive the car for a long time everyday. Now that I'll be commuting Oakland -> San Jose everyday starting next week we'll see if I can handle it everyday. In general, on the AB the sound level is reasonable until you get to big throttle openings.

Thanks Tyler. I have both. Didn't think it would be worth the bother to switch from the ABM to the AB for my track days.

The ABM is a fair bit quieter tho'!

I have the axleback muffler only on my MR and if you look at the muffler you will see that it is definitely a high-flow low restriction muffler as you can see the 90 degree bend at the other end of the muffler when you look in the tailpipe. Very quiet though. Almost as quiet as stock. Wouldn't think there would be that much difference between the two, maybe just subtle improvements.
