So far all we know is that the spool time is about the same but with significant top end improvement.
Any dyno numbers yet? Any prices yet?

It's also great time to upgrade to the 10.5 hotside for you 9.8 guys, or the WR turbo if you want even more.
We may have some data soon regarding the performance of the WORKS O2 Housing combined with the WR turbo shortly...
Exactly why Works will be installing mine after it gets the ceramic coating.Originally Posted by TylerO@WORKS
The best and correct method is to remove the complete turbo; the exhaust manifold is optional. This is the only way to get proper tools and tightening torque on the O2 housing. You won't see us doing it any other way than the RIGHT way for our customers. It's also great time to upgrade to the 10.5 hotside for you 9.8 guys, or the WR turbo if you want even more.

We have a few donut gaskets to spare. I'm not sure that the upper flange is something we're going to market, but I'll look into it.Originally Posted by Mark T
I asked this before but is the top flange from your downpipe and the donut gasket available for puchase with the housing?

do you have any thoughts on it working with a turbo xs downpipe. It utilizes the stock donut style gasket..

There is speculation it will work. We haven't confirmed it ourselves, but if it can accept a donut gasket that's roughly 20% larger in diameter than the OEM piece, it should be fine.

I know I might sound like an a$$ guys but could someone please post some Dyno results? Everytime I mention this topic of HP dyno improvement I never get an answer.
$429 is very significant so I want to balance this product among other good products in the market.
$429 gets you a cat back at least 15whp
$429 gets you a alcohol injection at least 20WHP
$429 gets you CAMS at least 20WHP
$429 get you Downpipe,CAI,MBC,LICP at least 20whp
$429 gets you a custom Tune at least 20whp
$429 gets you more than half way on a aftermarket turbo replacement
so my question is: what does a $429 O2 housing really gives you?
Do you guys know where I am coming from?, I really want this o2 housing but could Works Racing please release some real Dyno numbers?, I am debating on wether this 02 Housing is worth the money.
Works Racing, this is nothing agaisnt you guys, we just want to know more about this great product

this definatly looks like a promising product, only time will tell so we can get some people to shows some dyno charts of what the piece actually improves on and where...
Do you guys have any of the donut gaskets available so I can take one to turbo xs and check for the fittment, I only like like a hour away..thanks guys

Well anytime you have a sudden change in pipe diameter, you will have turbulence and additional backpressure, it's simple aerodynamics. In fact, you can actually wind up worse off with a 3" dp than just sticking to a well-designed 2.5" dp. Originally Posted by fromWRXtoEVO

But nobody makes a 2.5" dp because they know nobody would buy it because it's "too small". This is why the 2.75" HKS unit works so well on stock-turbo cars, it is a more gradual change in pipe diameter and has very smooth, gradual bends. But nobody buys that one because it's only 2.75". I am not digging on anyone, I am guilty of the same thought process myself, and I know better.
The stock piece is just so poorly designed that making something better isn't exactly difficult. But making something that is great instead of just better is what Works id doing here. The area immediately after the flange can cause a lot of turbulence and churn unless you find a way to smooth out the transition, which is what they've done, while at the same time providing a way to have a higher maximum flow capability. Plus you'll NEVER have to worry about it cracking, and it looks completely stock, you can also keep your heat shield and prevent radiator heat-soaking.
All-in-all this piece is perfect for those White Rabbit guys who really want that sleeper effect from their 11-second cars. It's also great for those who want every single last horsepower that their stock turbo can produce. But that's just mo $0.02, which is why I bought one.
Evolving Member
^ yup thats the same reason I bought one. I know with my white rabbit and a lot of boost it will help flow alot better

I haven't recieved mine yet but it should be here today or tomorrow. I'll post pics asap in this thread.
