I was wondering how much power the 10.5 hot side added for you guys over there in Cally? And would adding the 02 housing add more?

Buschur just did a test on a Megan Style 02 housing and it kicked but, I am hoping this would do more.

- If you want every single last drop of power out of the stock turbo, buy it.
- If you are goung to run alcohol/water/meth injection and run 25-27psi, buy it.
- If you plan on installing a TME or WR, buy it.

This thing is just too hard to install for the average guy to do a before and after dyno run with this being the only part that changes.
- And even if they did, it would partially be dependent on the skill of the tuner reprogramming the EMS after the mod.
- And how well was it tuned before the mod?

We're probably gonna have to wait for Works to dyno it themselves, and then if it works really well and makes like 10-12hp, no one will believe them.

It's a tough spot to be in.
We did a before/after with the prototype on my car (TR-303 with DP) early on. It is not my favorite install and because of the time involved, there's variation in temperature, humidity, etc... which throws off a true back-to-back comparison. I can say baseline was taken in the morning and we dynoed the "after" about 6 hours later. The runs were pretty similar, but we were tapering boost as RPMs went up (read: less boost, same power). Once boost was corrected in the software, we gained 15HP (read: same boost, more power). However, this was one test, one car and I can't gaurantee the boost was identical before/after. We tried to take the tuner out of the equation, but can't say for sure. Also adding to this is that we aren't seeing boost tapering with the production unit as we did with the prototype, so it could have all been a fluke

So far, 100% of the local crowd has been installing multiple components and we haven't had the opportunity to do before/after testing with any of them. The next batch should be arriving soon and we hope to get some proper testing done then.

In the end, it's not about the numbers, it's how the car feels on the road. I can tell you on my setup above, spool remained virtually the same (no better, no worse) and can't say it did much down low. But up top (say 5K+), it pulled significantly harder.

The only confirmed fitment is the WORKS 76mm DP. None of the others we've checked have come close to a bolt on affair.

So, WORKS, will you be sending one of your O2 housings to Buschur for testing. It seems he will be doing a O2 housing test and would love to yours, being one of the best on the market.

That would be awesome!

I got mine back from HPC and it looks GREAT! If I could find the charger for my digital cam I'd post some pics. I'll see what I can do.

Jamie,

How soon do you think the O2 3inch housings will be in?
Thanks

Will your 76mm dp bolt up to the oem o2 housing via spacer/adapter until I get your new o2 housing?

Yes, that was what I had until yesterday. The WORKS DP comes with a donut gasket to fit it to the stock O2 housing.

Some of you may find this interesting:

Stock O2 housing: 6.9 lbs. WORKS O2 housing: 6.8 lbs. BTW that's the ceramic-coated version.
