They said 11% hp and 9% tq so how does that give you 30 hp / 30 tq?

286 hp x .11 = 31.46 hp gain
289 ft. lbs. x .09 = 26.01 ft. lbs. torque gain

Pretty close.

Do these cams have more lift and duration than the HKS 280s?

I'm a little leary of that dyno chart.
I'm not saying I dont trust WORKS - as I have no experience with them and I've heard nothing but good things. But that dyno chart doesnt make sense to me. In all my years of tuning, I've never seen a set of cams produce measurable gains from low rpm to max rpm. The lift and duration decide the gain marker - whether above 4.5Kor below.

I say this also as I have a set of 280 cams. We are still testing the Mivec tables to get the most of it - but our charts look nothing like this chart.

Maybe this is true for Cosworth, I dunno - but mathmatically I cant work it out in my head.

I want them, but I don't wanna be a "guinney pig" with a 93 octane map?

When will you have more flashes available?

I have the p2e right now.

Once everyone is back from SEMA and Time Attack, everything should be ready to go.

Hello Joe,

After our testing, we discussed our findings and results with Cosworth. Their internal testing also showed similar results through the powerband, bearing in mind a certain variation percentage between vehicles. Needless to say, we will have more data (from other customer cars around the country) with differentiating tunes to see if these variations hold true. We are also somewhat surprised from the results. Again, this was one car and it will be interesting to see the variations of further test vehicles.

Sincerely,

The WORKS Team

That's because it was done on different days, the rpm calibration looks off also, if you notice, the before trq/hp crosses at 5200 or abouts and the after trq/hp crosses at 5000. See yes, be leary of that chart.

You're right, the ramp up curves should be almost identical, if the RPM calibration was the same, and done with the same car.

If the lateral shift of the HP and torgue curves could be "corrected" (Someone thats good at editing images) wouldn't that provide a better representation. If anyone could do that I would like to see them displayed.

Question Downpipe??

If I choose to upgrade with the cams will my 70mm downpipe be okay or will a 76mm downpipe be needed? At what point is it advantageous to have the 76mm downpipe over the 70mm downpipe?
