EVO IX Cosworth Cams - First Round of Results are Here!!!

We have finished our first round of tuning on the EVO IX cams with the WORKS TR upgrade path. Our test EVO IX with the complete TR-340 package (with HFC) made an additional 11.1% more horsepower along with an increase of 9.2% in torque at the wheels over the package minus the cams.

The gains are constant from 1800rpm to past redline in both whp and torque. The car feels very strong and smooth and idles great, even with AC. We are extremely pleased with the results and have our first satisfied customer with the Cosworth cams installed. In the next few days, we will share a variance graph of the gains with this EVO IX here.

so if i understand correctly on a 300awhp EVO this gain translates to 33.3 hp at the wheels...

I guess Cossie cams are a Winner!!!

Can't wait for the charts and rest of the results!

I love Works, but this thread is useless without dynocharts.

Judging from all the useless cam threads coming out about the IXs, does anyone else get the feeling that these cams are worthless?

I know Mike Welch said these cams add more power, and RRE isn't into hyping things that don't work. But Mike W. doesn't really care about dyno numbers, especially since when Scot Gray is there to tune they road tune. Works should know by now, however, that to trumpet the gains with any part in this forum you need to provide dynocharts. It's what the Evo market demands, especially on this website.

I know Works has a great reputation and no offense to their product specifically. Even the GSC guys came out with all kinds of hype and there is no raw data that would produce excitement. I am the first one to jump on a set if I knew they made worth while power...

Hell, TTs set came out worthless in two occasions that I know of, and at the owners expense...
