WildRice,

Since you are located in N. CA, you should pay the Works group a visit.
Not only will you be enlightened by their expertise, but they actually have a cutaway model of our "can" which would surprise you, and no, it's not just a straight thru path!!

By the way, if you like the stock idle, wait till you hear the exhale, it's awesome for what it does.

I can see why they designed it the way they did. The SRT-4 doesn't have a muffler on it.

My main thing is, I just want to know if there will be any other exhaust options to go with. If not, what would we have to do (if there is a option) if we bought the reflash and used other exhaust components with the Exhale. That's if it's even possible.

IMO, even after the Works reflash you can still tune like everyone else. The reflash would give you a good base to work with since it has the timing maps updated, something that normally can't be accomplished...easily. With new exhaust components, or anything else for that matter, you could still tune with AFC, EBC..etc.
The trick for everyone to realize is to PLAN AHEAD. Know what you want now and down the road and plot your course. Have fun guys!

WORKS will soon be announcing some additional Exhale line exhaust upgrades that will work in conjunction with the current Exhale AB (Axle Back). Stay tuned.

Ok you are selling what you call exhale. Witch is a pipe with a tip made of 304ss for 299.00. Did I read that right on your site?? A pipe with a tip for 299.00. I think it's a nice pipe don't get me wrong and the is tip nice to boot A bit of a high asking price for a nice pipe with a nice tip on it. Unless there is somthing special about your exhale that I over looked.

My initial though as well, but think about it. If they add another pipe or two then it becoms a cat back which other companies are selling for $600- $800. Are a couple of more pipes really worth another $300-$400?

Makes you want to go out, get a a pipe bender, and open up for business. I think $299 is completly fair when compared to what everyone else is charging. You can always go the custom route and save a bunch of money.

$299 is a little unresonable for a pipe with tip, IMO. If this pipe were $99 or $139 or something like that it would be at a very nice price point based on what you see. There is always "what the market will bear", but I think if the back box is this unnecessary, why not make a killing selling them cheaper? That makes all the other exhausts rather expensive right? No real need for stainless on the pipe if it's cheap..just get another one if yours rusts out. ??

I work in manufacturing in the USA.
I am amazed at how people think you should build items like this for less money.
These are the same people who want to make more money themselves.
People are getting to accustomed to Chinese child slave labor.
If you want these cheap go buy 5000 of them from China.
I am sure some 10 year old would be happy to steal WORKS R&D and copy the item.
If you can't see the difference between the Works item and some local hack job then go to your local muffler shop and have them pound one out.
One other thing, if your budget is that tight why are you modifying a $30,000 car?

Thanks for letting an American Manufacturer rant.
(This rant was not directed at anyone in particular)

... and I worked on the V2500 program where just one machined Ti ring was $25000 before I went and drilled 750 holes in it... what's your point? We're talking about less than 3' of stainless tubing with a flange/tab/tip TIG'd on it.

If you must know the truth, every "major" Japanese exhaust sold should be a felony... cause kids are getting raped! Even worse, now you got "American" companies doing the same thing (want their piece of the pie too). What a got damn shame. I've seen two separate posts (including pics) now about people on this board buying full 3" catbacks in stainless for less than $500... as they should. It's nice to see there are some people left in this world with morals.
