If you must know the truth, every "major" Japanese exhaust sold should be a felony... cause kids are getting raped! Even worse, now you got "American" companies doing the same thing (want their piece of the pie too). What a got damn shame. I've seen two separate posts (including pics) now about people on this board buying full 3" catbacks in stainless for less than $500... as they should. It's nice to see there are some people left in this world with morals.

Well, since this discussion came up in the WORKS Exhale thread in the WORKS forum, I thought I would point out that our profit per sale on the Exhale is the slimmest in our line-up (including the coming soon products). When you design and build a product from the ground up, and sell to a niche market (Evo only), and you spec everything to the highest quality, the $$$ starts to add up very quickly.

That said, $299 for an ECU tuned axle back (when purchased with the Brain flash) with the looks and weight savings of the Exhale, strikes me as a pretty compelling value. I should also point out that our Exhale AB makes similar power to most catbacks on the market. Just wait until we release our next stages of Exhale exhaust upgrades to build on what the Exhale AB already provides.

I've ment to call you with a few questions about up coming products, and a few other issues, if life would allow during your business hours.

Remember that I'm not trying to **** in any particular corn flakes here... I'm fond of Works quality as you well know. My feelings on the subject are mostly about the market in general. As to your particular Exhale... It's a jewel, probably too much so based on your stated costs. I don't doubt your costs, it's just too much for too little to the consumer in my opinion. As I mentioned, there are two small companies manufacturing full stainless cat back exhausts for under $500. Is that to say that they are of better quality than the Exhale? Maybe, but most likely not. Do they perform better? I'd say probably based on the removal of the smaller OE B pipe, but who knows? I'd be willing to bet that the exhale would sale like hot cakes for the right price... which would probably mean buying the stock from Burns and not Tiffanies(sp?)

David,

I'm very interested in the 93' oct. and Exhale tune for my Evo, but with you telling us that there are more components soon to be available should I wait? This is my everyday car and I can't have it down everytime I buy a new mod from you guys.

I'm just trying to figure out a route to go so it would save me some trouble.
