TR-340...what to expect?

Trying to figure out what HP and torque ratings the TR-340 package + WORKS HFC would get me on my bone stock Evo IX. Their site says 360HP, but doesn't list torque or additional gains with the HFC. Thanks guys

I would anticipate a gain of around 5-10 HP/TQ with the WORKS HFC and possibly double that using the WORKS RTP.

Cool! So we're talking somewhere in the 365-375 HP range. How about torque?

I don't have the dyno sheet with me, but for those guys that care about HP the IX hit 288whp WITH JUST the WORKS 76mm TBE (w/StealthWORKS muffler), high flow cat and P2r reflash (93 octane), this was on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno which typically reads lower 7-10% than a Mustang AWD dyno...here locally. There was a 5% correction factor due to the 90 degree day and high humidity, so without correction it was 274-275whp.

A baseline was not done prior to those parts.

I will post up sheets with the Cosworth cams and WORKS o2 housing added to the mix which would make the car a TR-360 with the O2 housing.

It's getting pretty cold in Minnesota now with 40 degree days so I would think it would be more beneficial to wait until next summer when it's around the same temperature.

Hey Jamie, with a IX that has the tr-360 with stealthworks and high flow cat and WORKS o2 housing...what would you expect the gains would be swapping out the HFC for a RTP?

What would the gains be swapping out the HFC for RTP and also swapping out the Stealthworks for the exhale ABM? Could one pick up another 20-30whp by swapping those 2 items out for the higher flowing RTP and exhale ABM?

At that level, yes. We recently had a IX with the WORKS TR-340 plus FP Green pick up around 25 peak whp (DynaPack) by swapping in an RTP.

Does one need a reflash to swap out the HFC for a RTP? Or is there enough leway in the tune to account for the addition of a RTP on a TR-360 car with Std. pressure walbro and o2 housing?

Thanks.

Typically, you're fine interchanging the two. It's when you go from the stock cat to the HFC/RTP that we'll want to alter the WORKS Brain Flash software.

Congratulations on your numbers, markeddy. Let's hope that those cossies and the rest of your parts all you to put more awhp. I think that on a Dynojet your numbers would probably much higher...... maybe around 300hp to 310hp.

WORKS 340 Dynos

Props to Oliver and all at WORKS for their help and great advice.
Really enjoying the kit and have had no problems in 6 months of daily driving.
I added the Walbro 255, WORKS HFC and the 02 housing to the kit and below are before & after plots. Gained 80 hp and 55 ft/lbs torque at the ground with 93 octane pump gas.
