EVO IX Cosworth Cams - The 1st Round of Results are Here!!!

We have finished our first round of tuning on the EVO IX cams with the WORKS TR upgrade path. Our test EVO IX with the complete TR-340 package (with
HFC) made an additional 11.1% more horsepower along with an increase of 9.2% in torque at the wheels over the package minus the cams.

The gains are constant from 1800rpm to past redline in both whp and torque. The car feels very strong and smooth and idles great, even with AC. We are extremely pleased with the results and have our first satisfied customer with the Cosworth cams installed. In the next few days, we will share a variance graph of the gains with this EVO IX on our Forum.

~30whp + 25 wtq?

Average IX with stage 1 boltons on 93 octane ~ 340 whp (dynojet) + 330 wtq

340 whp x 11%= 377 whp (11% gain on power)
330 wtq. x 9.2% =360 wtq (9.2% gain in torque)

I'm guessing with 93 better gains will be made so looks like these cams are worth the money.

This would be much better with graphs. I don't need another "vendor tease" thread.

Wow dude, not sure where you're getting those 'average IX' numbers. That's pretty freakin high! I'd say more like 310whp on a dynojet. And yes I have a IX, and yes it was tuned on a dynojet with 93.

bro to tell you the truth most of the numbers that i ve seen for the IX are around in the 340awhp area with 93oct on a dynojet... anyway...

11% even on a 300awhp IX equals to 33awhp gain from these cams, which is pretty damn high!!! that's awsome...

However why Works gave out percentage increases and not charts and the actual numbers? ? ? ?

Average is probably more like 330whp on a dynojet, but 340 isnt out of the question. Take it to the track and see what traps you run, thats the real determining factor of dyno accuracy.

With that said, back to the topic.

11% from cam swaps is incredible. I havent spent alot of time looking but are there published cam specs or cam card info that is available for these cams? I mean before I would part with 1,000 dollars I think that would be a reasonable bit of research. I better not hear proprietary as the answer either.

Interesting. I need to see this graph. I'm already at 330whp/310lbs on 91.
