What part are you referring to? Installing the boost hose assembly or the ECU itself?

First you have to get the ECU reflashed and replace the couple of vacuum lines on the turbo.

I heard people who got P2 have installed the line from under the car, which involves removing the under trays, and some have done it from up top, which in case stock airbox needs to be removed.

You must have both the reflash and the lines installed to drive the car. You cannot drive with just one of these installed, both need to be on.

After installing P2s for the umpteenth time, I think it's a little easier to install the boost-tube from the top than the bottom.

The hardest thing is removing the hose-clamps on the MAP and the turbo. From the factory, the clamps are oriented in a way it's almost humanly-impossible to get to, since they assemble the engine outside of the car. Be patience and you shall conquer them. Just make sure you position the clamps for easier access when you reassemble the car.

Also, the key thing on installing from the top is, make sure the air-box (if you still using the stock one) is properly installed back on the car, otherwise, the plastic scoop will not line-up with the air-box. A little squirt of Windex helps on making stubborn hoses and that rubber-donut on the air-box go smoothly home.

If you live in Nor Cal, you can always come into our facility for the installation.

Hope that helps.

I've helped to install about 4 hoses - all from the top. Patience is key!

As you know, I am the Mechanical Engineer, not the sales-rep. From time to time, I do monitor the forum and I will be more than happy to help out on technical issues or installation question. But by all means I am not the replacement for David.

I think Pete is going to be in-charge of that from now on.

I am hard at work at that. If everything goes smoothly, it should be done very soon.

Yes - get off of your PC and install the wastegate hose.

is anyone else as concerned as I....i can get it to spike like that in 5th gear. If I floor it in 5th, say on the highway at 2K rpm or so...that is when I GET the huge spike. Other than that ENORMOUS spike it holds. i just dont want any damage to occur. i even hit fuel cut last night because of the boost
