Question about Bosch 1000cc Injectors

Question about Bosch 1000cc Injectors
Is there any reason why I can't run these units with the stock ECU? It is my understanding I will have to bypass the resistor box, anything else?

Hmm, those injectors are cheap....
Did you notice that these injectors don't seem to be drop in like RC's, FIC's etc? Looks like you are going to have to cut off the stock injector clips and solder on the ones that come with these..

The NASIOC crowd seems pretty impressed with these injectors so far; the guy producing them has his own web page here, with a ton of geeky injector informational goodness. The injector's claim to fame appears to be it's consistent behavior with different fuel pressures (particularly high pressure).
Tony1 here on EvoM is the online face of t1raceparts.com; his posts have a bit more information. Specifically, there was a bit of discussion of the resistor pack here.

Hmm, those injectors are cheap....
Did you notice that these injectors don't seem to be drop in like RC's, FIC's etc? Looks like you are going to have to cut off the stock injector clips and solder on the ones that come with these..

The price is per (1) injector I hope everyone knows? + $7.00 per injector for wireless clips......not sure I would say they are cheap.
They are 100% drop-in - they have a wireless clip option for plug/play operation with the stock injector clips - no soldering or cutting required.

They are a high impedance injector - you have to bypass the resistor box.

Thats what I was thinking, maybe I just read the information too quick about the resister box...
The cheap was a sarcastic remark..

Got the injectors today, installed them today. Idles like a champ and I think I have scaling and latency down pretty damned good. I will update with all the numbers and info within the next day or two (busy with work and moving). Install was a breeze, I took lots of photos. Tried two warm starts and had zero issues, so far so good.

Here is the answer I got from Paul Yaw, the guy behind Injector Dynamics.
Here’s the answer to the question:
Ball and seat describes the valve type, while piezo describes the type of actuation.
It would be possible for an injector to be a ball and seat valve design and still have a piezo actuator.
The valve type is a ball and seat, and those in the spray industry would describe it as an impingement style atomizer.
The actuation is by standard electromagnetic coil. As far as I know, the only piezo actuators out there are high pressure DI injectors but there could be something new that I’m not familiar with.

Anyone have a diagram of that atomizer he describes? Googling comes up with mostly medical diagrams referring to impacting bone without cartilage.
I guess it probably just means that the output is sprayed at a screen of some kind to atomize it further.

I have been talking with him a little through email and he says all his fine......one thing I noticed is his scaling & latencies on pump are much different than mine, especially scaling. Not sure if he has done anything with IPW adder or not?
I will let him chime in if he is interested in sharing...
