EVO rear diff fluid change

okay so i just purchased a evo 4 and the rear is vibrating i want to change the fluids, but the diff has two drain plugs and two fill plugs. When i looked in the manual it said that the diff takes two different fluids one is AYC and the other is 75w90 gear oil. Anybody ever heard of this or done i just don't want put the wrong fluid the diff thanks.

You are right, there are 2 Fill plugs and 2 drain plugs.

The front side drain is for the Differential section.
Filling Plug is also at the front of the diff , pointing towards the propeller shaft.
Use full synthetic 75W90 or 75w140 Hypoid GL5 LS oil. (0.6 liters)

The rear drain is for the Hydraulic section.
The filling plug is right above the 2 hydraulik lines ( 17mm Hex head)
The recommended Oil is Diaqueen ATF SPIII or the Liqui Moly Top Tec ATF 1200 ( available in German Car Parts supplies )
you will need app. 0.6 Liters also.

Take care to fill the full amount, especial for the 75W140 types.Warm the oil up in an water heater, so that it will be thinner for the filling.

cheers
Steffen

No, do not use regular ATF Fluids ( Numbering doesnt matter )

It has to meet the Mitsubishi ATF SPIII (SP3) specs.
This is an fully synthetic fluid

Get the "Liqui Moly" Top Tec 1200.
Its available in any german Car Parts shop, sometimes also at the ATU Shops.
Or, get the genuine Mitsubishi Diaqueen SPIII

second best you can use the Castrol Transmaz Z
you will need 2 of the 0.5l bottles then

Okay so I got the new diff and I have another question so do I fill up the ayc portion of the diff or just fill up the ayc pump in the trunk and just bleed it then or fill the diff and resevoir then bleed it. Do I bleed the ayc with the car on or off as much info would help thanks.

Not saying that you shouldn't change your dif fluid, but that wouldn't cause a vibration in the rear. I'd start by balancing tires, and go from there.

Okay so I just replaced my rear diff and the car is still vibrating and now is starting to lock up. So should I replace the transfer case or the transmission.
