P2228: Does anyone have the answer???
My car is randomly throwing a p2228 code. I know it's supposedly "maf rerlated." Car runs fine but throws the cel. I've cleared it numerous times just comes right back on. In fact ive cleared it with the car off and before even starting the car up it comes back on seconds later.
I will be checking for boost leaks later today as well as swapping mafs with a known working one, but im not all that confident. Ive searched endlessly for the answer to this but no one shares the solution to this problem.
The car has an fp red with a tscomp tune. Has been running fine on his tunes with no previous cel. Just popped up out of nowhere. Can someone point me in the right direction...?

So last yesterday when driving home from work the car was driving like ****. Just cruising along the car kept going extremely lean and cutting out almost stalling. So i decided to finally dig into the issue a bit. Brought it to my buddies shop, Weapons Grade Performance and looked at the harness going to the maf. The previous owner had cut into this harness (not sure why). The wires were put back together with butt connectors. I was able to pull one of the wire from the connector without any effort whatsoever. There was oxidation from the water and moisture on the copper wire (among other wires). So i cut and repliced all the wire (properly with solder and shrink wrap). Put it all back together... no more cel and runs perfect.
