Quieting down my exhaust

I have an hks hi power with a test pipe and a down pipe and I love the sound. However I do hate the attention it gets me from the cops . I tried an exhaust tip silencer but it was either stolen or fell out. I was thinking of getting a single electric cutout and drilling holes in it so it would be "muffled" but would open at the flick of a switch to normal exhaust. Would this work or would it be too muffled or is their a product like this already out there.

Have a "silencer" made to fit where the "Straight Pipe" is.
If it is well made, it will take down 5dB.
Hi Power is about 95dB at idle with straight pipe, so even conservatively you'll end up at most at 92dB or less, that is really quiet nice for performance exhaust.

HKS is perhaps the best compromise of noise/sound quality/flow at reasonable price

What is was thinking was more of an electronic silencer I think my exhaust is loud enough and I love the sound so I don't need a y pipe but more like varex muffler that I could just add inline to what I already have. I think a butterfly exhaust valve would work in theory I'm just afraid of creating to much back pressure

I had this setup and then switched the straight test-pipe to one that is like an in-line- resonator and it quiet down some too. I didn't measure the level though.

I'm afraid not as the product is fairly new, but it should sound similar when open and simply a lot quieter when closed
