unknown rom image

2008 MR ROM and xml
Hi, I'm new to the world of ecuflash/evoscan, I love it, but finding some basic answers is sometimes harder then complex on here. I try to upload stock ROMs or other ROM that have been offered on the forum but I get "unknown rom image". can someone send me a ROM and xml , I'd like to see the stock settings, thanks

I had this issue because the Mac version of ECUFlach is older than the Windows version. I needed to run a virtual instance of Windows with the newer version of ECUFlash. I'm guessing compatibility was changed with version 4. It could be an image that came from an older version of ECUFlash.

I've seen you come off like a cockbagg before in other threads and now again here. It isnt a specific ROM, it was many ROMs I would try and get, and I am looking more for the reason as in "I need the xml files" for the specific ROM" then a specific help with a particular ROM.
Welcome aboard, I hope your ability to get others to do things for you (without any information about your issue) gets you the world and more.

Your best bet is to install a newer version of ECUFlash, and if that doesn't work search for the xml or that ROM ID. If its 52680022 you can just copy the 52680020 and change the romID in the xml (it is described in more detail in a few other threads).
