400 hp with stock catalytic converter?

Okay so here is the deal I am looking to reach the 400 Hp mark this summer with an upgrade of a FP red and a new fuel pump. But at the same time I want to tone down my exhaust system because of noise. I have and AMS high flow cat, Downpipe and a CP-E cat back. I plan on changing my cat back to a Fujitsubo Legalis R and wanting to go back to the stock catalytic converter to try to keep the 88 DB from the cat back. My question now is will the stock catalytic converter restrict my goal of 400 HP or should I still be ably to get there? I would like to add I have all other supporting modifications bigger injectors, intake, intercooler, intercooler piping blah blah blah.

Thanks in advance Shawn.

Putting the stock cat back on is a pretty big restriction with a FP Red. I dont see you hitting 400 on pump with the stock cat unless you have a real friendly dyno.

That is what I was thinking I guess I will just have to wait and hear how much of a sound diffrence there is between the HFC and with out HFC and see if the trade off are worth it.

On my Evo 8, I noticed no noise increase going from the stock cat to the HFC and keeping the stock exhaust. I'd just leave the HFC.

I hope that will hold true on the X because there has been this one cop who keeps staring me down ever time I have to pass him and has followed me about two times now after I have passed him. So now I am really parriniod now about getting pulled over.

Well I am currently thinking about getting a resanator welded into the mid pipe of my new Cat back (Fujitsubo Legalis R) to counter act the noise from the HFC. Also do you know the DB rating of your greddy exhaust?

I agree. I have a few N/A cars where I have changed to a HFC after installing exhaust on the stock cat. On an N/A car, there wasn't a significant difference in noise. Now, test pipe...that's another story!

Well I put the new cat back on and even with the high flow cat it still sounds like the video advertisement and I am just loving how my car sounds now.
