altho this thread is old but did anybody install AEM box/cone filtr and somehow connects it to stock MAF housing?....so that it wont mess up a/f ratio etc etc...

it replaces the stock MAF housing

i kno the AEM kit replace the stock MAF housing with its own custom MAF 3" pipe.......but my question is....what if we dont use the provided custom 3" MAF and instead connect it to the stock MAF ...anybody ever done that?

that would basically be the same as using a cone filter inside the airbox, i doubt you'd have to scale it at all. But the cone filter would have nothing to connect to inside the airbox without the AEM tube.

I helped a buddy do his, directions were junk but its not hard to figure out.

so how does it goes?...does he have an issue on idle or anything after the installation?...need to tune or no etc etc?
