Spark Tech's COP UPGRADES
#41
Jamie they are both powered by the M&W Pro-12 so power wise the answer is NO. However durability/functionality wise YES. Due to the design/budget constraints of the basic system it has some disadvantages. It's wiring is not secured to the mounting plate which over time tugging/pulling on the harness can develop issues. The mounting boots on the basic system has to be cut shorter due to the height difference between coil and top of spark plug. The Pro's coil boots don't need to be cut/shortened.
The Pro systems wiring has built in slack in the wiring and they are secured to the underside of it's mounting plate. This prevents any stress on coil connectors/wiring. The Quick disconnect and Billet coil protectors options are ONLY available on the Pro series.

Does cutting the Mounting Boots on the Basic have any disadvantage from the Pro's uncut?
