Clear timing belt cover?
Clear timing belt cover?
I know they make one for the Evos....can't seem to find ANY options for the upper or lower timing belt cover for the '03 lancer. Anyone know of anywhere to find anything?
I guess if there's nothing out there, my only option is to paint it with some plastic paint. I was hoping to find a clear one....that would be pretty sweet looking with a blue timing belt, and also to be able to see the condition of your belt, etc.
Anyone have pics?

had a friend with a 16valve 1989 VW GTI had a clear cover..... think stayed nasty and dirty looking..... if i had to guess id say you have to clean it like..... everytime you turn the car on to keep it clean. ..... a very cool idea maybe a smoke colored one... or tinted a color... so you couldnt see the dirt. just my $.02
i didn't find jack. I ended up getting a replacement one on ebay and prepped the plastic with plastic primer, and painted it to match the valve cover. Came out decent...but I really wish i could have found a clear one. I don't see why it would get so dirty...there's never that much residue on the stock one now, maybe a slight powder after 160k... maybe your buddy's VW liked to chew rubber...I wouldn't put it past a vw
