I ordered seats a long while back and had the same problem you did but ended up returning the cause I never even considered going this route!

Is what stock? The bar going across? No, not hundred percent sure but i think its 3/4", from lowes.

Yeah those are 2 of the 4 support brackets from some stock seats i got a a junkyard

Not exactly sure just from ebay and no it didnt but possilby the mechanic i had put on my catback exhaust right after may have reset it idk
