Questions of concern

Ok so I just recently got myself an new 2013 Lancer SE, drove off the lot with 22 miles. So I haven't yet been able to talk to the dealership about much. So I was wondering if you guys would know. I have all the warranties that the new cars come with, I am pretty sure you aware of what they are but anyway, I am pretty sure that I can't do anything to the engine without voiding the warranty but what about the exterior. I wanna get different fenders, front and rear bumpers, a spoiler, and hood for it and was wondering if doing such would void existing warranties? thx

Any modifications as far as I know void the warranty. But I would contact mitsubishi to verify.

Look up the Magnussen-Moss Warranty Act. The dealer must show that a modification to a car caused the failure that is in question. But then again, unless you have an honest guy you know at the dealer I would plan on getting the run around in the event you need to claim something under the warranty.

Oh ok kool. Thx
Then I wouldn't think an exhaust or intake would cause any problems, but I'm still gonna talk to the dealer.

They don't have to prove that it caused the failure, just that it may have logically contributed to it. Even then, the main purpose of the Act is to prevent manufacturers from voiding warranties if you use non-OEM maintenance parts, not non-OEM aftermarket parts like an exhaust or intake.

So then it would be fine getting an exhaust or intake?
