What kind of mods would void warranty?

Just wondering if an interior mod, for example changing the cd deck would void the warranty? Or does this only apply to mods on the engine? I want to do some interior and exterior(engine) mods, but don't want to void the warranty.
I have heard of shady dealerships voiding warrantys of electrical parts due to an aftermarket stereo. Ask you local dealership and see what they have to say.
mine doesn't care that I changed the radio out and actually locks up my car in their delivery bay at night because of it.

If I'm not mistaken, in order to void a part's warranty because of an aftermarket product, the dealer has to prove you wrong. He has to prove that the aftermarket part caused the Warrantied problem.
Let say you installed a Deck, 2 weeks later your coil packs are fried.
To void the warranty that covers your coilpacks, the dealer has to prove that they were fried by the deck and/or installation and or installer.

Any modifications you do will void that respective area of the warranty. I have a number of mods done to the engine and suspension, but the dealer replaced my warped front rotors under warranty because my mods have nothing to do with the brakes. It all depends on the service manager. However, the dealership may decline a claim if:
-you blew a speaker after changing the head unit
-you broke a connect rod after adding an aftermarket turbo
-you ruined the engine by sucking water through the cold air intake
Simple bolt-on mods usually improve the efficiency of the engine, and is unlikely to damage anything. I wouldn't worry too much.
