Help! I accidentally put diesel fuel in my Evo!

Would adding a BOV or exhaust void the warranty? I really want to install a BOV, but I am really afraid it will void the warranty. I tried searching, but to no avail, in case you're wondering.

call your dealer and ask.... only way to get a true answer... and no nothing you add to your car can void your warrant unless they can prove it was the part you added that caused the problem that you have when something breaks

Please...

The diameter of a diesel pump nozzle is larger than the diameter of the hole leading to your gas tank. Pump won't fit.

Just remove the BOV before you got to the dealer.
It takes less than 5 minutes.

As stated above, it will only void your warranty if they can prove that the modifications were directly responsible for the warranty issue. Search the Internet for "MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY ACT" or you can read the actual act here:

http://www.autosafety.org/article.php?scid=116&did=749

See section 2302(C)...

im inclined to say that yes it will void the warr.

most dealers will jump on any thing they can to void it, but like its been said, just take off your mods before you go in and u should be GTG

Damn dude, that's harsh? Yeah, I tried the deisel, but when the nozzle wouldn't fit, i just said "ah, the hell with it" and poured in that leaded gas instead. Then I pulled my head out of my *** to get some fresh air and breath in the leaded fumes.

Dude add the BOV and it won't void the warranty make sure it is a recert though, I had a talk with my dealer today and they said that I could add whatever I wanted but if something broke beacause of it , that would be only thing that would be voided. A bov is helping your car not hurting. They dealer commend me for have certian things and all they had to say is don't go cheap because cheap isn't made to last. Just call and be rational.
