Smile money to blow

so i am new here (well i joined a while back but haven't posted anything till now) but i just got around 500 for my birthday and i want to know what would be good to put on my car for that amount. I drive a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS. I already have 8000K HID's and i have halo's. Im not allowed to put anything under the hood because my parents want the warranty and wont let me do anything under the hood (sucks). I already had the idea of an exhaust but i dont know if its worth it since the GTS isn't the fastest thing in the world and i may be weird with a stock engine. am i wrong?? but anyways if yall have any ideas that would be great!

Get it tuned, and buy yourself a Tactrix OBDII cable so you can always revert it back to stock to have warranty work done.

Wost idea ever for someone to tune there own car with no experience .

Just take a drive to your local Mitsubishi and talk to a Tech or service writer and ask them what would void warranty and what wouldn't as far as bolt on mods .

Good luck

Rear Strutbar, Coilovers or Standalone Springs(I prefer coilovers), and Performance Air Filter. That's it. Don't buy any intakes, headers, or exhaust. You just basically wasting your money. Unless you get your car tune. Have Fun and Be Safe.

I didn't say for HIM to tune his own car?

I'm pretty sure I said 'get it tuned'.

Senario 1 CVT

250 - 300 Sprintbooster to help for throttle control in D mode
250 INJEN 2.4L SHORT RAM

bang for your buck, it will give you better throttle response / acceleration control in non WOT driving. And in terms of performance, INJEN SHORT RAM is a tuned intake which has an effect on the Rich Side Bias on the ECU.

Senario 2 Manual 5 speed

$280 RRM Next Stage Power Pro (Timing Controller) 2.4L
$250 INJEN 2.4L SHORT RAM

Playing off the Synergies of Ignition tuning and modest A/F Tuning + increased airflow. I am possible the total yield of power will be meaningful and substantial. 91 Octane required or at the least mixing 89 + 91. you can cheap out from time to time. And the good thing about the Timing Controller, its plug and play so you can unplug it and your fine for running 87 octane.
