I honestly forget the actual size but it is about double the diameter. We played with diameters to get the proper balance though. It is not too big, not too small for the Lancer.

This is also a great mod for the 08-09s. Even though the GTS comes with a good bar, it is still kinda out of balance and need s alarger bar on it for sure. One step up changes the car from understeer to neutral.

Issue

Today i installed this sway bar along with the perches that came with them, install wasnt easy!...So here it goes... I didnt need to jack up the car cause im skinny and i went right under. Doing all the bolt removing and etc...got the endlinks off and sway bar off, now the perches that are still bolted to the frame of the car, oh maannn, the 3 bolts that held it along with the perches, were super rusted, i needed up breaking 1 bolt on one side, and 2 on the other side. It's sheared so i said FML! But went on bolting the new perches with 2 bolts one side and 1 bolt on the other. As im trying to install the endlinks, it was not possible, cause the sway bar was facing abit up. I could not install the endlinks, i removed one bushing and then it barely fits i tightened everything down, i drove it around with mild corners and nothing has come apart yet. Is this safe to drive hard? I always take corners like crazy.

***sorry i forgot to mention, I think the reason why i couldnt get the endlinks to fit is because im lowered, and the perches were the same or maybe tiny bit higher than my control arm. I will take pics tmrw morning.

unload the rear suspension...

also you'll break those bolts if you're hard on it...you need to drill and tap the old bolts/holes...same thing happened to me.

we drilled them out - get a new drill bit, use lots of lubricant as you drill. Then use new bolts with nuts

I dont think the bolts that are on the frame use any nuts? It looks like straight bolt on the frame? Anyways, yes i will have to drill them thank you.

I think he means the studs on "perch" for the bushing mounts.

yes, if they sheared off, chances are you won't break the torque with an extractor...drilling and tapping is pretty straight forward. make sure you have the right size bit first, and be glad it's not an engine bolt...they turn into tool steel, lol...

Warning

Be very careful when unbolting the perches from the frame. 4 out of 6 bolts snapped into the frame on my RA. Soo a 1 hour job turned into a multi day event.......Soooak those bolts in oil and give them some heat cycles before you attempt this install.
