Changing my rotors and saw this behind my front passenger tire. Briefly looked through the shop manual to locate what this is but no luck. I'm a little crunched on time here, can someone point me in the right direction?? Thanks in advance.
Worn out drive axle can cause those shakes. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen a warped brake rotor on a motorcycle or car. Bent, cracked, worn down to nothing, but never warped, even though people say it a lot.
It was not warped when I pulled it off, but I believe it was warping when the metal on metal contact occurred. Once that rotor got hot it would shake the steering wheel. Atleast that was my theory.
Now that the rotors, pads and sway bar link has been replaced I don't feel any shaking in the steering wheel! Hopefully that's all it was.
