to any of you who are interested with this mod, i would gladly help them in person, but im currently in guam and will be coming back in gulfcoast on march. ill also be able to help you out if your from hawaii which where ill be movind to on july 06. pm me if you are interested. this is a very cheap mod and easy. relocaating the HVAC is easy but making the custom double din dash is time consuming unless you purchase a JDM model of the double din. as far as making a how-to thread, ill think of making it in the future. too busy!

Relocating hte hvac is a piece of cake...

2 wires to control the heat/cold, and another to control the vents on the right side...
then you hvae one more plug in the middle... just move it down like the radio relocation. I've thought about doing it, just never tried because i'm too busy. I have taken apart my hvac already though.

What did you use for the faceplate? I'm in the middle of this process right now. I have the AC controls moved but and debating on what material to use for the faceplate.

I remember a shop selling those hvac stickers, or you can buy them from the dealer. It was like 20 bux if I could remember. Sorry I don't remember the vendor on here.

use any transparent plastic and peel off the HVAC gauge off your center console and use that to make the face for the lower din. the hard part of making the face is making the holes on the plastic so it would line up perfectly. you will have to trim off the edges the HVAC guage to make it fit. just make sure you measure it right to get the right fit. i would show you more pics but i wont see my car for awhile since im far away. let me know how it goes and show me the results. ill try to help as much as i can.

I came across this site where you can draw up your custom parts, pick what you want it made from and how it will look. I'm sure it costs a pretty penny to make single parts, but if you are truly want it to look like the manufacturer did it this may be the way to go. I plan on making a custom enclosure for woofers and amps in my trunk in the near future so I'm gonna be looking into this site more to see if I can come up with anything.

BTW pinoy228, great job on that install. Very clean looking. I'm not sure if I'd like the AC controls so low, but I'm sure it looks great in person.
