Just a small little update. Adding a tablet to the interior Currently a Kindle Fire (1st Gen) but getting a Nexus 7 next week! I have an Elm327 hooked up to my OBD so I'll be using the Tablet for some gauge display while playing tunes out of it. Maybe use it for navigation if need be.

How do you plan to install it? I thought about doing this a while back but never got around to finishing it.

Actually I'm using Velcro. a Velcro strap in each air vent, then using the command strip Velcro on the back side of the tablet. Easier this way, and you can remove it if need be.

I also don't use those front air vents

Wont you get a lot of glare at that angle though? Or maybe I'm just imagining it wrong...

Currently with the Kindle there is, I'm not sure how much brighter the Nexus 7 is compared to the 1st Gen Kindle. I held my HTC One at that angle and could see the screen fine even with a glare. So we will see haha.

I feel like the sun will roast that tablet. Heat = destroyed lithium batteries and LCD screens.

Hence why I'm using Velcro for easy removal

You don't ever use those air vents? I would not velcro-strap a tablet to the air vents (or anywhere else in my car, for that matter). That's just silly, IMO.

haha no I don't. I have them closed off literally all year long. In the winter I just use the feet vents, and maybe the driver side vent. While in the summer I maybe use the A/C 10% of the time. I love having the windows down!

I'm sorry beard, but I enjoy the tablet there
