FIrst of all YES I used the search feature.
I have a 2004 lancer ralliart, I am collecting all the parts for a turbo build also I bought another engine which is the one I am working on to do a swap, its the same engine from a wrecked ralliart, I already took the head out port and polish it and a complete racing valve job along with ceramic coating to the combustion chambers, also the crankshaft was removed and sent to do a knife edging and balancing. Few parts ordered and already arrived; forged pistons with rods and ported intake manifold, turbo exhaust manifol(custom), turbonetics hybrid (T3/T4), Tial 38mm Wategate, Intercooler(mounted), All tubing to the intercooler is done already in the car, return fuel rail from an evo, 500 cc injectors (venom), dynomax 2.5" straigh muffler, 4 spoke clutch and custom engine mounts. NOw there are a few things I need to ask in order to complete this project.
Here's the outline of questions:
1- I was planning in using a metal head gasket and searched but there are no manufacturers that sell this, I found a place that can custom made it but I need a ARP stud kit to tight the head securely(I am expected to run 22 psi). Can I use the ARP stud kit from an evo or an eclipse.
2- As for engine management I thought of using haltech but did a little research and got my hands on a Megasquirt (far less expensive and a LOT of features). I have a few doubths with this; can the fly by wire throtle be used with this ecu? what about the MAF do we need to pressurize it or leave it before the turbine?
3- I am planning also to run the wastegate dump to the atmosphere but then should I use a 2.5" exhaust without a catalytic since there are no restrictions or a 3"

1. Head Studs. There located here in ventura so call them up thell guide you the right way. (http://www.arp-bolts.com/)
2. Engine Management, Go full out with the AEM standalone.
3. Go Full 3" you cant go wrong. Its up to you if you use the high flow cat or go test pipe.

1. ARP's Evo headstuds will work on the Ralliart. Nobody, to my knowledge, makes aftermarket headgaskets for us.
2. Megasquirt does well on the car. PM user ModernRacer, as he's the only one I know of running that system. His setup includes a pressurized MAF and VTA BOV. Also, I bet MegaSquirt would let you eliminate the TBW, allowing you to run a larger throttle body.
3. At 22psi, a 3" exhaust would be a good idea.

yeah as far as the Megasquirt, system bang for the buck this thing beats AEM (IMO) hands down, but it's not a PnP system do your home work before you install any stand alone system, as far as my MAF this will be illiminated in the spring by giving me more room for tuning, i will be using only MAP wich is built into the Meagasquirt system, and also i will be illiminating the Fly by wire system by swaping out the stock TB for a 2.0 bigger bore one to give me the flexability i need to convert over to this system.
as far as 3" exhaust to me that is overkill, 2.5 is plenty unless you plan on running 600hp, i hope to hit just over 300 with the mods i have planned for the spring, that will be plenty for a FWD and no lsd. So do your reaserch carefully and get the parts you really need for the goal your after, if you need any advice feel free to PM me. And good luck with your project

22psi will put him at or just over 500 whp. Hopefully he's planning on beefing up the driveline, since the last person who hit that kept breaking LSDs.

Miguel just call Turbo Tech he is from Aguada too..! He has most of the parts you need in stock. As for the head gasket RPW from australia has them in various sizes you can order from them. As for your setup you will have a mean RA..! Hopefully you can get to 400whp un pump gas..!

basically all the AEM's work on our cars, the thing that changes is the Plug at the end, that's why they are so damm exspensive, the amount of R&D in this units are really exspensive, but you can use a unit from the base 2.0l Lancer for the Ralliart and play with the maps until it's tuned properlyOriginally Posted by EZRalliart

i would go with 3". you can even beef it up to 3.25 or 3.5 if you're gonna be running at 22psi. you're gonna have an INSANE amount of power for a RA.
